The point is that Capture One from the initial install is a bit more “confusional” than Lightroom. The workflow in Capture One is a bit different than in Lightroom: if you have past experience in raw develop with different software as Lightroom and Photoshop, you will not find any difficulties to master the sliders. Maybe that will be a demo limitation, but I was expecting to find the beloved “Classic Chrome”, “Astia” and so on Fujifilm color profiles.* Although I couldn’t find anywhere the advertised “film simulation support”. So when you open these files in Capture One, without any edit it seems already they have a nice color balance.

Looking at the photos just imported in Capture One Pro 11 Fujifilm, the quality of the conversion and colors are very good and natural when you have a correct white balance from your raw shots. First impressions on Capture One Pro 11 Fujifilm I’ve to say that the demo doesn’t have any export watermark limitations, so seems to be 100% functional. So I’ve just downloaded the Demo that is fully working for 30 days. It’s true, but there was not a direct support on the tethering shooting and especially, there was no support for the GFX camera series.Īll these issues seem to be addressed with the new specific Capture One Pro 11 Fujifilm edition.

Someone of you may say that we had already support for Fujifilm camera on the regular version of Capture One Pro 11. This a very nice and welcome addition, since Phase One got already something similar for the Sony camera.

Right now, if you don’t own any version of Capture One or you’re using Capture One 21 or older, your best bet for max savings may be to buy a brand-specific version of Capture One 22 from B&H (you can’t buy them from Capture One directly anymore) and then wait for the free upgrade to the full brand-agnostic version of Capture One Pro 22 in a couple of months.Today with the begin of the 2018 Photokina edition we got some great news for the Fujifilm fans and user, as you should know I am one of those! 🙂įirst of all the new medium format camera, the Fujifilm GFX 50R, then the announcement of the future GFX 100 Mp and more than ever, a new special version of the Capture One dedicated to Fujifilm users. If you do own a brand-specific perpetual license and choose not to upgrade, your existing copies will still keep working forever and Capture One says they will still be updating them during the life of Capture One 22, but as soon as Capture One 23 is released (due to be released in the latter part of 2022) there will be no more and it’ll be too late to claim the free upgrade at that point as the free upgrade offer ends when Capture One 23 is announced. This 25% discount brings that $299 down to around $225, so you’re still going to save another $25 by just buying the brand-specific version of Capture One 22 for $199 and waiting until April for the free upgrade.Ĭapture One says that they’re streamlining their offerings to focus on their “goal to become the most efficient E2E photography and collaboration platform for photographers” and after having listened to feedback from its users, they plan to release Capture One Live next month and we’ll finally see Capture One come to the iPad at some point during the spring. Perpetual license holders of brand-specific versions of Capture One 21 and older can upgrade to Capture One Pro 22 at a 25% discount.

Perpetual license owners of a brand-specific version of Capture One 22 will also see a free update in early April 2022. According to a FAQ that Capture One have put up on their website about the removal of brand-specific versions, subscribers to Capture One for Sony, Nikon or Fujifilm will get a free update as part of their subscription.
